Journaling

The first week of food journaling is, lets just say a change. You have to weigh and measure "everything". Eating out is impossible and guessing isn't allowed. So, lets be clear, no one enjoys journaling there food. It is a necessary part of keeping you accountable. It helps you see how you are doing and it will maximize your results. If you have been struggling with the journal but you did it, Awesome. If you’re whining about it and you haven't done it all seven days, my question to you is,are you committed to change? You are going to have to do stuff differently to change your body. What you have been doing up to this point isn't working, or you wouldn't be in this group. If you haven't made the changes you needed to this week reevaluate why you are in this group and get your act together. Christ First is about sacrifice, change and restoration. Sacrifice your control of how you eat and what you eat. Sacrifice your time to journaling, devotions and exercise. Change your mindset from my will be done to His will be done. Finally after a long hard week of sacrifice and change you will see the beginning of restoration. The pounds will begin to melt away. Are there other ways to do this, sure! You've tried all those "diets" already. This is about rooting out the issues that brought you to your current weight. This group is about giving you the tools to put your Lord and Savior First. I've done all the "diets" the weight just comes back. I was always depressed. It wasn't until I realized that I never gave Christ First place in my health, that my life changed. and it has really changed. I want to share that joy with you. Stick with it. This only gets easier. And remember Anything in your way is just an obstacle (excuse).

Kirsten and I are here to show you how to navigate those obstacles and receive success. Quitting this group is just letting the evil one get in your mind and in your way of giving Christ First place in your life.

Measuring Your Food

Here is a link to an article about the tools you need to accurately record your caloric intake. Guessing isn't a good option.
Why Should I Measure?

What Do You Think?

So you have been journaling your food for a few days now. How is that going for you? If you are struggling with some aspect of the Christ First process, please let me know right away. I want to help you along this journey. I've heard some great feedback already and I've had some questions that worry me as well (nothing new). For starters CHART BEFORE YOU EAT!!!!!! I can't emphasize this enough. If you don't know how it was cooked and what was put into it, don't eat it. Guessing is forbidden. Do your best and when all else fails kick your butt in the gym or at home with one of the workouts from out exercise TV widget on the right hand side of this page. If you do a workout be sure to let us know what you did and how it went (journal it). I'll be adding stuff regularly to this website so add it to you favorites or mark it as your main webpage for the next 12+ weeks.
Also, I may be harsh with you at time and thats because some of you need a kick in the pants to get the ball rolling towards health fitness and restoration. God has placed you all in my care and I truly take that seriously. I want to help you find the joy I found by placing Christ First in my life. Big changes are coming and I can't wait to see how you all are doing and remember:

The Scale Doesn't Lie !!!
and Fit Bodies are Made
 they just don't happen.
